Commercial Bag and Supply specializes in the manufacturing of burlap bags, in addition to offering odor-free HFC (Hydro-Carbon Free) food grade burlap. Contact us today for more information.
Our trained seamstresses sew each burlap bag so seams are hidden and the bag, when finished, looks flat. Drawstrings, if requested, are sewn into the sides of burlap bags.
Burlap is one of the most rugged, durable, and all-purpose fabrics available on the market. Water resistant and biodegradable, burlap is most commonly used for landscaping, gardening, construction, and other outdoor operations, but is also utilized for:
- Coffee Bags
- Rice Bags
- Grain Bags
- Potato Sacks
Keeping your burlap clean is critical to the continued strength of the material, especially before storing it for the season. You can follow these easy steps:
- Fill a wash tub with cold water and add a small amount of detergent. Let the burlap sit for no longer than 5 minutes. Machine washing is not advised.
- Now, rinse well and lay flat between two towels to dry. Don’t wring the fabric. If you have stains, blot (don’t rub or scrub) with a wet sponge. Immediately blot out any leftover dampness.
- If your bags retain odors after use, sprinkle baking soda onto the fabric and lay it outside, but not in direct sunlight. After a few hours, flip and sprinkle more baking soda onto the other side.
Choose from 7 or 10 ounce material; our burlap bags can be customized and sewn to nearly any size and dimension, and with or without drawstrings for easy closure.
